Wow! I know, long time, no, er, write? Well, a lot's been going on recently.
Fisrtly, I've been in hospital to have my kidney stone removed. I won't tell you what's involved just in case you are a man, but it's painful and I would rather not repeat the experience.
Secondly, I got promoted at work, which is great, but it means I actually have to work for a living now :-(
Thirdly, I've been catching up with friends and trying desperately to sort out my Christmas stuff, buying presents and stuff.
Fourthly, I got the DVD boxed set of the first series of the West Wing and I watched that instead of updating this.
Fifthly, I've been in hospital. I know I've already mentioned this but I felt you were slightly behind with your sympathy contribution so it got mentioned again, ok?
So, I went out with 12 friends for our traditional pre-christmas "oh my God I can't believe how much we ate" meal. It was lovely, and reasonably priced, in good company which I hadn't seen for a good few months. But, if I see a picture of some poor starving African kid in the next 2 months I think I'll implode through grief. Was good though.
Next up, that West Wing DVD boxed set really is good. The best drama to come out of the states in years in my opinion. It wasn't cheap at £40 but I've watched loads over the last week and it does have 22 episodes on it. Can't wait for series 2 to come out now.
I've just bought The Fast Show Series 1 and The Last Fast Show Ever as a present to me from me, along with the album "Infected" by The The. I found the old tape I had of this at my Mum's house last weekend and had forgotten just how good it is.
Anyway, gotta go do some stuff now, more later.
